The District of West Vancouver’s annual Harmony Arts Festival, presented by Odlum Brown Limited, runs from August 2 to August 11, 2024. It features 10 days of events and activities showcasing arts and culture during a celebration of summer on the North Shore. An extensive array of programming includes more than 50 free live musical performances, art markets, al fresco culinary experiences, art demonstrations and exhibits, and fun art experiences for children.
FEATURED ARTIST: HIMIKALAS PAM BAKER
- We're thrilled to announce that the talented Himikalas (Hi-mi-ka-las) Pam Baker will be the featured artist at this year's Harmony Arts Festival! Witness her designs come to life at the Ambleside Pier during an exciting fashion show that promises to dazzle and inspire. Additionally, immerse yourself in Pam's artistic fashion design journey at her Exhibition, held at the Ferry Building Gallery. Pam Baker is a fashion Designer/Artist/Entrepreneur of Squamish/Kwakiutl (kwa-gul) /Tlingit (tling-get) /Haida (hy-dah) nations.
SHOP SMALL
- The Fresh Street Market | Art Market, will live in Argyle Avenue both weekends (August 4 to August 7 and August 11 to 13) with artists selling products including ceramics, glass, jewellery, leather, painting, photography, textiles, and woodcraft.
- The Bespoke Night Market, presented in partnership with Bespoke Market, will take place on Tuesday, August 8, Wednesday, August 9, and Thursday, August 10 from 4 to 10 p.m. Bespoke Night Market is British Columbia’s leading indie market for handmade, vintage, and curated wares. The festival’s unique artisan market mainstay.
SOUNDS OF SUMMER
- Free live concerts every day and night of the festival bring harmony to the arts. The Beedie West Stage and the RE/MAX Garden Stage at Millennium Park feature daily concerts, including dinner concerts at 5:30 p.m. and evening headline concerts at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
A CULINARY EXPERIENCE ON THE PIER
- Best of the West, the quick-to-sell-out food and wine pairing event, will take place on Wednesday, August 7 at the Ambleside Pier. The festival’s favourite culinary event features the most delicious dish and sips pairings from local restaurants and wineries. VISUAL ARTS HUB
- A vibrant Visual Arts Hub will fill John Lawson Park with daily events, exhibitions, and hands-on activities every day of the festival.
- The Harmony Group Show Exhibition is a juried gallery exhibition featuring 80 local artists’ works in various media.
- For the Love of Art features youth artwork in an outdoor exhibition.
- Artsy Kids is a program for kids to get creative with a variety of mediums presented in fun drop-in workshops.
The Harmony Arts Festival will return to the West Vancouver waterfront on August 2 to August 11, 2024.
