Fresh off her new LP, Pylon, Beabadoobee is singing all the things she never got to say in ‘Sun Has Set’.
Self-admittedly channelling her inner Midwest emo, there’s a pop-punk through-line that connects the entire album, including a track featuring none other than Paramore’s own Hayley Williams. Other collaborators on the album include Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, and Deftones’ Chino Moreno. Imposter syndrome kicked in hard when collaborating with such legends, with Beabadoobee stating that she didn’t want the album to feel like she “got, like, the fucking emo Avengers on it,”
As for ‘Sun Has Set’? “I would like to think that people have their own interpretation,” quips Beabadoobee.
