Kicking off your Labour Day Monday with a fresh PEAK Song of the Week – it’s sombr with ‘My Body Isn’t Ready’.
Being model-gorgeous, receiving a Grammy at only 21, and getting showered with compliments by Taylor Swift, you’d think Shane Michael Boose (aka sombr) would be peaking on a mountain of confidence, but his latest single reveals that’s far from the truth.
Disclosing in an interview on The Tonight Show that “this song I wrote, you know, about something I’ve been struggling with my whole life; issues with my body image.” While growing up, he felt like he looked different from the other kids in school, “I always wanted a song that talked about that.” Continuing, “So I just made it, first of all, to express myself, but to also have a song, you know, for anyone who struggles with their body image to know they’re not alone.”
