What would it sound like if you stuck Tame Impala and Daft Punk in a blender? Maybe a little something like our PEAK Song of the Week, ‘no more regrets’ by almost monday.
After teasing their second album back in April, almost monday released their latest single ‘no more regrets’ on May 1st, promising it would be “YOUR NEW FAVOURITE SUMMER JOINT”.
When discussing musical inspiration and its influence on their sound, bassist Luke Fabry said, “We all come from different influences, but some of them that have influenced us are The Kinks, The Strokes, The Beach Boys, Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, and Foster the People. Growing up and listening to these artists have made their way somewhere into our sound, but it’s much more of a subconscious process than a conscious one.”
Founded by Dawson Daugherty, Luke Fabry, and Cole Clisby, the San Diego-based trio have been making music since 2015. The band released their first solo album in September 2024, and have been trickling out a steady stream of banger singles ever since. Later this month, almost monday will open for Young the Giant on the first half of their North American tour (though sadly, Vancouver is not in that first half).
On this actual Monday, almost monday has your latest PEAK Song of the Week with ‘no more regrets’.
