Harry Styles – “Aperture” | Song of the Week
The modern king of pop takes things in a more experimental direction this week. Harry Styles gifts us a freshly released (and refreshingly unhinged) music video for ‘Aperture’.
The word ‘Aperture’ generally refers to the adjustable opening of a camera that controls how much light is let in. Similarly, Styles reflects the same about his upcoming album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’, releasing March 6th. After taking a few years away from music, and some time to let loose in Berlin, he came to a lot of “big realizations”. Much like a camera’s aperture, Styles says he’s “just generally opening up more to the world and allowing some more positive things to come into my life.”
On the song itself, he calls ‘Aperture’ the “culmination of all that was happening around me making this record.” The final song to be produced for the album, it was “like a perfect little bow”.
“It’s always been a real celebration song for me and a big driver of the want to be back in rooms full of people. It’s a song that means a lot to me.”
Shining a little positivity into your Monday morning, Harry Styles has your PEAK Song of the Week with ‘Aperture’.
