The first release since their 2024 album ‘Neon Pill’, it’s Cage the Elephant with ‘Beaches in Tennessee’.
Frontman and primary lyricist Matt Shultz opened up about the song, calling it a “somewhat fictionalized narrative” of his hospitalization following a three-year psychosis, where “at night, maybe I plan my escape”.
The new song coincides with Cage the Elephant signing to Big Loud, and rumours of a full-length LP in the works.
