Four Book Suggestions for Social Distancing Times
Do you have a pile of books sitting on a wishlist, or like myself, on your nightstand? Here are some that I have started, plan to start, or have finished.
Right now the feeling of reading is a great practice in escapism.
First, Flea has written a bio like no other. It’s real raw and compelling. If you are into music bios, this one I found superbly written. You can hear in your mind Flea talking to you.
We love Tegan and Sara, and this book is all about growing up T+S. I’m almost finished, and it’s not the usual debauchery music bio. So well-written.
Growing up, I discovered the Larry Sanders Show and I still think it’s one of the funniest shows ever. Garry Shandling had a lot of friends, and this sort of love letter to him is written by Judd Apatow. Just got the book and so far, I am engrossed.
Do you love baseball? I LOVE baseball, and this book got me deep into the history of the game and pitching. Worth your time if you’re a baseball fan.
