#WeezerCoverAfrica turned into #WeezerCoveringRosanna

We love nerds [we use that word lovingly] and we love Weezer. The band has done some great covers in their time, and last year some nerd set up a Twitter account to petition Weezer to cover “Africa” by Toto.

Once enough signatures were acquired, THE PLANS WERE FOILED.

Weezer, also being nerds, trolled their own nerd fans and shared a cover of the less-popular Toto song “Rosanna” and tweeted it at the @WeezerAfrica account.
