Stone Temple Pilots are back with a new jam called “Meadow” and a new lead singer! His name is Jeff Gutt a former contestant on The X-Factor.
You might remember his audition for the show back in 2013. He did a killer version of Leonard Cohen’s song Hallelujah.
Back to STP though…They linked up with Gutt after an extensive audition process and he landed the gig. Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo said,
“We wanted someone who would not only do our earlier songs justice, but would also write new songs and carve out a different path forward with us. It took some time, but we found our guy.”
This is their first song since the passing of Scott Weiland and one-time frontman Chester Bennington. Expect a new STP record in the spring of 2018.
