WHY
Mentoring programs help kids reach their full potential by heightening self-esteem and enabling them to make healthy decisions. Your participation in The 2018 Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers Classic helps match children with positive adult role models who act as mentors in their lives.
When children are emotionally, socially, and physically healthy, everyone in the community benefits.
This event enables Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver to provide one-to-one, group, and in-school mentoring programs for over 1,000 children each year free of charge. The presence of an additional caring adult in a child’s life can curb issues like bullying, crime, and even break the cycle of poverty for local families. By signing up a team, bowling or donating to the campaign, you’re joining us in building stronger communities, one child at a time.
