Coachella 2018 lineup revealed
Coachella 2018 has unleashed the lineup for 2018, and it’s stacked. I could not even begin to fathom how hard it is to make everyone happy. Tickets go on sale this Friday morning January 5th. Lots of ticket options. If you are heading down, let me know. I’ll be there with my crew the second weekend.
Here is my experience from last year if you’re trying to decide whether to go or not… GO. Treat yourself.
“As I type this blog in the airport in San Francisco, on my way back to Vancouver. I find myself processing the entire weekend of Music, and good times at Coachella. It was something that I was looking forward to for a year.
Coachella is really something special you should try to experience at some point. I am already planning on going next year, for me it’s the thrill of not knowing who is going to play until you get the lineup in early January. I always do the presale in May.
I had the chance to go backstage and take in all the shenanigans. Max and Mike from Arkells were nice enough to spend some time talking to me. I must say as a proud Canadian, they did an outstanding job in the heat on Saturday. They brought their a game and I know bigger things are on the way for the boys.
Other highlights were Lorde, Father John Misty( at Malkin Bowl next month), Blossoms, DREAMCAR, Warpaint, The Head and The Heart all delivered. Saw some great DJ’s too.
If I were to hand out a gold medal based on performance/stage show, Kendrick Lamar, The xx (who are here next week!) would be my top picks.
As a rabid Radiohead fan, I was bummed, but it didn’t ruin my weekend. They walked off stage twice for extended periods due to sound issues. In the thousands of shows I have seen, they lost me and I couldn’t get into the set as much as I wanted to.
Scored some sweet merch, including some socks, shirts and a nice show poster amongst the merch table loot.
I saw a lot of random celebrities, including the Biebs, Russell Simmons, who I had to go up to and shake his hand. That guy is a LEGEND. A bunch of actors as well.
Go if you have been thinking about it. I loved, loved, loved it and will return next year.”
