Carl Sagan’s Blue Dot

On this day in 1980, Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” premiered. Sagan was often called “the gate keeper of scientific credibility.” The show originally aired on PBS but has since been re-made with new age science guru astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson [and it’s on Netflix].
