Last Friday night was the kickoff of the U2’s latest tour in support of the 30th bday of the Joshua Tree. It was so great bumping into and speaking to so many of you as you were lining up and getting into BC Place.
A complete and utter fail on BC Places part for not being organized, or having enough people working. As a proud Vancouverite I was actually shocked, but not surprised at the lines. The lack of organization, people and signage was a gigantic fail. When you are charging top dollar to see a band, we as concertgoers, expect a smooth entrance into the show. I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but come on, we deserve better.
Once I finally got in, after waiting almost TWO HOURS, I was able to envelop myself in the magic of U2 . I managed to watch the show from the Red Zone, which got me super close to the action. I got a smile from the Edge. I didn’t take enough photos, as I was just taking it all in. Here are a few.
